Benn, while I agree in principle with what you say, I did see, I kid you not, a guy using (make that trying to use), a powered dinghy hoist to launch his dinghies, (plural - he had - make that did have - two), and had not one but both, one after the other, slip out of the hooking system somehow and drop in the drink, and one being a tinny went ...glug....glug....glug, and disappeared, outboard and all. I shall stick to on the side, on the transom board, I think. I have a system.....
