I am curious to know how many DeFever owners are on this forum.* I am a soon-to-be-owner if all goes well with the survey.* Don't be shy, folks!

Hey Ken,

*** Welcome and I love that boat too.* A good thing you bought it because I would have if you did not(I found out about it just a little later than you).* It used to be "Sea Angel" or somehting like that didn't it???* Anyway, she is looking nice and it's sounding like she is serving you well.

Take care and trawler on,
John

RE: Headcount?

Thanks, John!

We were lucky to stumble across her, as we were only looking for boats in the 42-44' range. For once in my life, I was in the right place at the right time!

Sorry to go totally silent since I started this thread.

As you can see from my new avatar, the Admiral (Ruth), and I are proud owners of "Georgia Peach," formerly "JOURNEY to..." owned by Ron and Charma Owens of Apollo Beach, Fl. She's a grand old gal (the boat, not...nevermind).

So now you know the rest of the story....

See the Technical Help section on tips and known (mostly Mac) problems.* This should get your picture posting fixed.

If you're using Safari to access the internet on a Mac, there's a good chance you won't be able to post photos. Use Firefox instead. If you're using a PC I've not had any attachment posting problems with M/S Explorer.

I have a Defever 48' Repowered with twin Cummins 210"s and a 12KW Northen lights. I built a fiberglass hard top to replace the bimini and installed 2 110watt solar panels. I"m going to add 2 more this spring. With the Niaids it doesn't roll at all. I love this boat.

RE: Headcount?

Hi: I traveled over from PMM. Nice to see a website that works at normal speed. I have a 2003 DF 48 tri cabin #168. Keep the boat in BC near Victoria. Lovely spot. Bought it from the broker in Sausalito, Chuck Green, who I believe got out of the business. I burn less than 5 gph both engines plus genset - Perkins 225TIs. Normal issues but sure like it that DF is staying in business with low new purchase $$$ and good quality.
