There are a bunch of DeFevers on Yachtworld in the Pacific Northwest for sale right now.

Some are called Davis. 42,41,40 1980 to 88 twins, single.
Any way to tell if US built by this information?

My favorite is the 1986 in Poulsbo but the decks look shot.

John, is there a reason why you are looking for US built?

Call the people who have it for sale and ask them where it was built. Also, on boats that are documented, the place of build will be shown on the paper work.

Reading about DeFevers it was mentioned that they were built overseas but then they moved some lines to the US for better quality.

I have been lead to understand that only the 34, and 40 were built in the U.S. by Jensen Marine, Costa Mesa CA. (a Bangor Punta co.) Mid 1970's.

Part of the HIN number indicates the country of manufacture. I don't know it but it's on the Internet somewhere. You'll have to search for it yourself.
