1990 DeFever 55 Cockpit Cruiser

Is this a standard Defever model or a one off custom?
I found this boat listed on yacht world, but it seems to be the only one of its type. It doesn’t show up as a model on the Defever owners web Site.

DeFever designed many one off vessels. He was not necessarily the builder. In looking at the pictures I see a few DeFever give aways, but knowing the build site would be helpful.

It does look like a very nice vessel, but as always the devil is in the details with a thorough look over by an experienced person. For sure the integrity of the fuel tanks is a must especially if the teak decks are screwed down. Also, knowing the details of the engine rebuilds should be ascertained.

That is for sure! I’ve had my broker submit a few key questions I need answered before we drive down to San Diego.
My broker says he has a Defever 60 in Bristol condition, that has not been listed yet. Says it’s a single screw boat. I haven’t seen an 60’s listed with just one engine. It’s very local, so I’ll see it next week.

I've seen a few vessels listed as Bristol - they weren't.

Yes, I did drive down and look at the boat. The interior is beautiful. To big and to high up for our tastes. We bought a McKinna 48PH.
