Nordhavn 53MS

When the Nordhavn 53 Motor Sailor first came out, I thought that was a very nice boat. But, for whatever reason(s) it just didn't catch on.
I guess someone has to be particular to that kind of sailing/motoring. On the other hand, the interior woodwork was really nice, the engine room seemed to have plenty of room, and the overall creature comforts seem to be a nice fit.
I was browsing and couldn't find those with any appreciable YouTube action, nor do I find them here on this forum.
Is there any reason for their lack of popularity? I do remember screen an interview by one of the principles of Nordhavn, saying that the Nordhavn trawler owners, didn't want to be tripping over sail lines ... or something like that.

This is a 56, and they haven't posted in a year (caveat city, I know), but I thought you might find it interesting if you haven't seen it:

They went from, IIRC, a Nordhavn 40 to the 56 motorsailor.

John-O,

You could post this on the Nordhavn Dreamers Facebook page, as well as the Nordhavn Dreamers mailing list at https://groups.io/g/NordhavnDreamers.

I suspect current and former owners are monitoring and would be delighted to share.

Jeff Merrill at JMYS.com posted one or more youtube videos on this boat also. He would be a wealth of information, and he is a fine gentleman.

Good Luck
