KK Flooring

Do all KK have the parquet interior flooring or are there other options out there? Have any owners replaced the parquet with something else?

I've seen pictures of wall to wall carpet on a KK36 with the engine hatches nicely trimmed & also carpeted. The carpet dampen the engine & generator noises considerably. It was a very high grade commerical carpet designed for heavy use. The boat is a short pleasure cruiser vs a 24/7/365 live-a-board.

Surprised it's still their baseline. Would think it might turn some buyers off.

You question would probably be better placed on the KK website. I think all the 36, 42 and 48 Whaleback all had traditional parquet. I've been in a 39 that didn't, but it also lacked the really rich look of varnished parquet. The 44', 52's and 58's at the shows also had something different than the traditional parquet.
