Upper Helm Steering Problem

1979 Grand Banks 32 mechanical steering.

The steering at the upper helm has an annoying amount of play. I have identified the upper helm steering pulley as the problem. It is not tight on the shaft allowing about a 16th of a turn in play. Have any of you replaced or tightened this pulley?
