Grand Banks Woodies in the South on Freshwater

Anybody here have a wood Grand Banks or any wood planked hull in the South? If so what are some of the issues with maintaining one in freshwater and undercover ? How often do you paint hull and bottom and are worms an issue in freshwater? I know that a lot depends on condition from the start .

Try the Grand Banks owners forum Grand Banks Owner's Resources

There are a number of woodies in the Great Lakes area including Spray designed by Ken Smith that served as the proof-of-concept prototype for the GB36. The owners of these boats would know all about wood boats in fresh water.
