Soft deck?

I just purchased a 2006 Mianship 34T.
Great boat! When walking across the stern cockpit, there's a spot just behind the glass sliding door next to the stairs that open up to the "basement". The spot feels like it gives a little? Sort of "oil cans". Is this normal? There are a few spider cracks in the same area. Is that section cored? If solid fiberglass, could I just re-enforce the section from below? I really don't want to rip up that deck. Has anyone seen this problem?

Have you tried tapping it with a hammer to see if it sounds wet? Tap in the suspect area and then tap the surrounding areas to see if it sounds different. A sharp sound usually means good and a dull sound means wet. Not a perfect method but it is easy to do. If it sounds good you may be able to just glass in a supporting member underneath the deck.
