location of windlass control box?

Gentlemen
I have a 2006 34 Mainship trawler with flybridge. The anchor will go down via the windless. but not go up.

I suspect the windless switching relay control box, but can't find it.

Can anyone tell me where it is typically located.

Try the anchor locker, I was surprised to find mine there on my 03' Mainship Pilot. The last boat I owned that had a windless had the controller in a dry location under a seat in the cabin.

The anchor locker is where most manufacturers will tell you not to install it. Too much moisture.

It's somewhere between the batteries and the windlass (yes, windlass) so start tracing cables or trace the wires from the windlass up/down switch.

On my 97 350/390 that issue came up as well, anchor would go down but not come up. In the anchor locker under the topside windlass is where all the connections and motor are located. I removed and cleaned what I thought was the up connection on the motor and it then worked ok. It is a somewhat difficult place to get to and I am a little surprised it is all located there due to the moisture.
