Is the Yanmar pump now available directly from Johnson without Yanmar's horrendous markup? I know impellers are available from Johnson and Chinese or whoever suppliers. But I thought that Yanmar prohibited Johnson from selling their specific design directly.

Not sure - you may be correct - I have not tried to purchase parts but have searched their catalog for the info. I know it's coded as a "custom" or "special" pump design. So far I've only had to do impeller replacements.

hi,
the impeller is available from johnson. it also is available with a threaded hub which makes removal much easier. i have not removed on this pump but have used the puller on another yanmar and it greatly simplifies removal.
