Mainship 430 Transformer?

All,
Does the Mainship 430 have a transformer, like the other Mainships have? If so, assume it's only a 50a 220v shore power option.... not 2 30a 110v supplies.

people put Isolation transformers on their boats for protection and not to step down down the 220v to 110v.
- if you have a 50a/220v; means that you have two 30a/110v split phased to create 220v on the boat if needed ( most likely everything on your boat is 110V). All your panel breakers (on the boat panel) are divided between the two hot legs accordingly to create a balanced load.
- if you have X2 30a/110v; means that you use two 30a/110v split phased or not.
Unlike boat with 50A/220v shore power, everything will always work on boats with x2 30A/110v regardless if you are two split phase 110v or not. the 50/220v boat need the two split phase 110v to run 220v items.
I hope that i did not confuse you,
Regards,

Driss,

Understand that, but that's not my question. The MS430 is a 220v boat, with many appliances 220v run. I just wonder if it normally comes with a transformer, which would make sense, and is my question. Also, it can only receive 220v from the pedestal or (2) 110/30 out of phase to make 220. (identical to my Mainship 400, which comes with a transformer).

I've asked a few MS430 owners and they don't know.

boat are designed for either European countries (and some other countries) 220v single phase or this side of the world 220v split phase.
- European 220v boats will require a transformer to step down the voltage down to 110v if needed.
_ USA 220v boats do not require a transformer because we have two 110v split phase to create our 220v. in another word, you can receive a 220v from the pedestal that is made out of x2 110v split phase on one single cord or we can use two separate cords of 110v split phase (the case of your boat).

Euro 220v = Hot+ Neutral (+ Ground ).
USA 220v = Hot1 + Hot2 + Neutral +Ground ====>USA 110v=Hot1+Neutral+Ground
or USA 110v=Hot2+Neutral+Ground

Seevee, our 2003 430 did not come with an isolation transformer from the factory and still does not have one. It did come with only one AC neutral bus and an inverter. I separated the inverter load neutrals onto their own bus and now have no problems with the new shore power breakers. However, there are a number of small transformers that convert AC to DC for interior lights. I have no idea why they did this.
