Has anyone put a deck access plate over there generator to get access to the coolant cap.I can't get to it to fit it and the plate would be in the middle of the aft deck.Tom

No reason why not. Lots of access ports available. I'd probably go with a waterproof aluminum type.

There was one installed to access our rudder post and steering cylinder on our last boat. Easily done! They come in both raised and flush mounted configurations. Not knowing your coolant level is not an option!
