34t Salon AC

Anybody know what unit was installed in 08 34t? I got a model number off the stateroom unit (marine air VCD7K/2-HV) and am assuming it is the same in he salon but I can't see the model number on it without pulling the whole thing out. I need to replace the blower (or the whole system depending on cost) and dont want to get the wrong one just because I made an assumption.

Just for any future mainship 34t owners out there, I pulled the unit under the couch in the salon and it was a marine air VTD16K-HV. The forward stateroom is a 7k unit.

FWIW, I think VC = Vector Compact, and VT = Vector Turbo. I think the Turbo units are relatively newish, whereas the Compact model is older, from at least as far back as '98-ish or so. Our units (2002) are Compacts. Turbo is better, at least as far as the composite drain pan is concerned.

Sounds right, my '08 does have the composite drain pan, other than that not sure how improved it is if I am replacing a fan motor after 6 years.

Good point. Although sometimes stuff just craps out before expected time...
