FL SP225 fuel return lines

I was looking at my fuel system today and noticed there are three, not two, fuel return lines coming from the engine. One from the filter, one from the injection pump and a third one coming out of the back end of the head. Any ideas what the function of that third line is?

Never mind, I looked in the manual and it does show three lines. It returns excess fuel delivered to the injectors.

Seems I've been looking at the hookup for non-turbo engines, which only have two returns.

I'm not at the boat to look, but I believe I have a single fuel return line. That's unless there is a T somewhere I haven't seen.

My single line has a T, then each leg has a valve so returning fuel can be directed to one tank or the other.

My engine is a Volvo TAMD 41P.

It`s like assembling IKEA furniture (if you can call it that),when all else fails, check the instructions. BruceK
