I'll start this for you.* I've been cruising the James since my first boat in 1988.* I've seen everything from kayaks to freighters, been in fog so thick you need a knife to cut it, been out with a foot of snow on top of the boat and still coming down.* It's a river that has never disappointed me with its peace and beauty.* I use to keep my boat at Kingsland Reach Marina where I have many fond memories and friends and is as close to Richmond, where I now live,* as you can get.* Due to the shallowness of the enterance I moved to the Chickahominy and Colonial Harbor Marina which is only 15 miles up from the James in Lanexa Va.* I never get enough of the sights.* I plan on one day doing the ICW again and seeing more of the Chesapeake Bay.*

Oh By the way.* I go down to the Ghost Fleet on the James to check the ship in the middle of that picture with the Gun Mounts on it.* It's the one I was stationed on while in the Navy.* I guess you could call it my first boat.
