That was strange. There was an advertisement post that appeared this morning and so I commented "What the heck is this doing on this forum" and right away my post got deleted but the advertisement stayed. So, I comment again and then the entire post deleted.. Thanks Admins?

My question is: for someone to remove my post wouldn't he/she need Admin privileges? I do realize that the final removal of the entire thread would have been a moderator but someone other than those that control this forum must have Admin access too.

I would double-check your Security Admin access!

I do'nt see any gone but I'm very glad to hear it Elwin.

"Admin privileges?" ....perhaps should be admin responsibilities?

I'd hate to have to make those calls. I hate those broker pitches but I really appreciate the industry posts we've had on anchors. As an example I think they have done a fine job of staying on the side of good conversation and away from the "hawking their wares" side.

I think our admin/moderator people are doing really great except that they could run the broker guys out of the general posting and perhaps at least into the classified section.

I saw the ads this morning. They were not even a little boating related, so I deleted as SPAM (which bans the IP address forever). Not sure why your first post would have seemingly disappeared, but there were TWO identical ads posted, and IIRC, you replied to both of them.

I'll go check the trash... brb...

Yep. That was the case. You replied to one, then you must have come back to the second one.

Tom-

Ah! IC, glad it was that and not someone with hacked access.

Tks
