Our Eastbay 47 has a stateroom with two twin berths. I'd like to find a way to extend the space between them.

A discussion with friends this past weekend raised the idea of possibly using an inflatable mattress in the space. As opposed to some kind of board or other shelf, which would in itself end up being a storage hassle. I could have some sort of board made, with brackets and then a mattress on that... all of which would be bulky to store.

The scenario here is kids sleeping over, not adults.

I'd think it'd have to be made custom to fit the narrow width and taller height.

I mean, sure, I could half-ass it with a stack of pool lounger floats or something but I'd at least like to check first to see if something like this could be made properly, and at what price-point.

Anyone know of suppliers that might be able to craft something like this?

If you extend it , how do the kids get in?

They're kids, the little monkeys can just crawl over each other. The idea is temporary accommodation for another friend. I'm talking 6-11 year age ranges.
