Our 2003 34 Pilot is showing as if it needs paint on parts of the hard top sides. Is this paint or gelcoat, and what could I use to freshen it up?

What color is it? Can you post pictures? In all of the “what kind of paint do I have” discussions that I have read can I recall one where the pilot house was painted from the factory. As far as I know they were all gelcoat. However this would not be the first time I was wrong.:D

Color

Hi Kevin,

It is off white, quite a beige color. It has not been repainted, as it is the same color as the rest of the interior of the bridge, but it is looking very tired.

Sorry for the time lapse. It sounds like you have gel coat and not paint. Perhaps it just needs a compounding and wax job. Maybe others could give their opinion if they could see pictures of the boat.
