Hi Guys

Planning for the fuel cleaner system, and came across his obscure valve? under the floor in the bottom of the engine room fuel tanks. They are in the tank but not connected to anything. Its the valve? on the left.

Looks like a sump drain / pump

The gate valve on the right is the fuel shutoff valve from the tank. The tank does not have a pickup tube, fuel goes directly from the bottom of the tank to your fuel manifold. The valve on the left is for sampling fuel from the tank or draining sediment from the low point of the tank. There is a screw cap on the bottom. Remove the cap, loosen the stem and pull the stem up, fuel will drain from the low point of the tank.

Thanks for the info, sounds like I can tap into the bottom for the fuel polisher. As always it's not particularly in the most accessible place! Looks like I'll have to get the mirror out and research a little further. I did not want to start playing with it till I had identified it.
