Engine installed took lots of work but I did it

Now going to put everything back on and get it running This one question the transmission was never moved back mounts not touched is there any advise out there on setting front motor mounts I just got it as close as starboard engine not sure if it matters since the shaft was never moved

Mr. H. Nice. MY opinion is realign the engine/transmission with your shaft. From the looks of it, your transmission mounts will act as a fulcrum and the height of the front of the engine will determine the angle the flanges will line up at.

Front of engine too high=gap at bottom of flanges.
Conversely, front of engine too low=gap at top of flanges.
Flanges should be within .003" of parallel or better.

if you set in the engine with out taking the shaft lose there is no telling how much strain you have on the shaft . i would take the flange bolts out asap . then spin each flange to see if you bent anything . at that point you will be ready to do what rt listed .
