Port Harvey Marine Resort, George Cambridge

We arrived at Port Harvey, yesterday to discover the very sad news that George Cambridge passed away suddenly in his sleep, early morning August 6. George was a wonderful gentleman, who helped us out on more than one occasion. George is survived by his wife Gail and his 2 daughters.

Sorry to hear that, We spent the night there more then once, It's a great place to stay when we wanted to get an early start on Johnstone. The place was clean and the staff helpful, the restaurant wasn't bad either...

We heard about this on the Port Harvey Facebook page. We were just there in June. How sad, he was such a nice guy.

Very sad news. I enjoyed listening to George’s stories. He had a very interesting career, prior to Port Harvey. Arriving early in the season, with few boats tied up, he had time for stories. I will miss him.
