Chartering a boat in the BVI’s

Looking for any suggestions, thoughts or things I might be overlooking as I am about to pull the trigger on a 40 power Catamaran through a broker that is getting the boat through the moorings company. Thank you in advance. I’ll be charting the boat this coming winter for seven days.

I spend a lot of time down there.Make sure you have a charter licence etc and a 12 month licence to keep your boat there. The last 18 months the customs have been quite aggressive in checking the boat legality of the boats. I don't charter but they have still charged me the higher rate for clearing in from the USVI's etc.
