Went to Quonset Point today to watch the rehearsal for this weekends Airshow. We brought the kayaks but just hung out on the side of an access road.
Watched the US Naval Academy Jump Team, Sean D. Tucker
Mike Goulian, Mark Murphy P-51D Mustang Demo, F4U Corsair Demo,
TBM Avenger Demo, C-130J Super Hercules.
The highlight was the Navy Blue Angels. Always impressive.
We were just about to leave when an F-16 screamed over and began making low level, high speed passes. After a while he just circled untill the F-35 came up to play. He made some impressive passes then stood on his tail at full afterburner and went to the moon. They then made several passes together in tight formation.
What a great day. Sorry about the picture, it was the best I could do with my iPhone.
