Dole thermostat

I have a grand banks 36 1975 number 483. We have this boat 40 years and still in very good condition.

engins are john deere 6404d ammarine. I cannot find a replacement for thermostat dole j 26173 7. This number i got from the dealer in europe. But i am not sure this is correct. Has anyone any ideas how to fix it?

Sam, I own a '76 36' classic #502 which also has the 6404-d. I have found that I can get most if not all my engine parts right from a John Deere dealership.

take the old one to a auto parts store or a J.D. dealer. They should be able to match it.
