Recommended Coolant for Lehman SP135

Hi gang,
Can someone provide a recommendation for coolant to use in a Lehman SP135 as well as recommended time between flushes. I did some searching of the forum but didn't get any hits, though I might not have used the right keywords in the search. I've heard people say some extended life coolants can clog up cooling passages under certain conditions, even with reasonable flush cycles, which I wouldn't have expected to hear. In any case, any/all input is greatly appreciated.

I have SP225s in my boat. I talked to Brian at American Diesel. He said I can use any type so I went with Zerex G05.

plain old cheapo Prestone is what Am Diesel recommended.

50 plus year old blocks arent fussy.

As cheap as it is, a 2 to 3 year or 1000 hr intetval is probably plenty unless you see contamination.

The manual does not specify any particular type. There are enough reports of various incompatibilities with extended life AF and I think it encourages lack of maintenance, so I stay away from it. I use standard yellow bottle Prestone. 5 gallons per engine. Check concentration before and after layup. Drain, flush and replace every few years.

Use any one rated for diesel (I buy the long-term stuff) and buy test strips from a CAT dealer. Then test the coolant (annually) and buy the additives when they need it. Or, if you use a coolant filter, it renews the additives when you change it. DO NOT use pure water. It is imperative that you use coolant.
