Who is going to see the TT35 at the Annapolis Boat Show?

Transportable Trawler 35 being introduced by Mirage Manufacturing

Will there actually be a finished and delivered to customer boat there or one in just some stage of completion and still none delivered to customers? I ask since they've missed every date so far. I'm hoping someone will be able to actually see a completed boat and then at some point get some legitimate test data. You seem to have a connection with them so what do you know about the boat going to the show? Hull 1 or 2? They sure have grown quiet on their website and blog. If you have any more knowledge of what is going on, please fill us in.

Also, there was discussion here elsewhere about the plain white boat, but on their website drawings they show a colored hull. Are any of these four going to be painted?

I don't see a listing on the boat show website for Mirage Manufacturing, Transportable Trawler, or TT35.

We start breaking down the sailboat show later this afternoon, and then powerboat load-in tomorrow... I'll watch, to the extent possible...

FWIW, I've been watching a thread in the other forum about whether a Torqeedo 4.0 might work for one of the posters... and during that, came across the Elco electric outboards. Guess I could see an easy and relatively inexpensive way to cobble up a hybrid diesel (generator)/electric (drive) that way, especially if the intended boat could easily carry the weight of a boatload of 6V golf cart batteries without too much penalty. Much would also depend on intended usage patterns, of course...

Actually in the list of exhibitors, although no mention in the new boats or premieres, it does show "Great Harbour Yacht and Ship Brokerage" and shows a Great Harbour 35 at Dock D.

Still surprised no mention on Great Harbour's site or blog that I can find.

My understanding is it is hull #2 and it has been sold and built for a customer. From the pics posted, suspect it isn't the final delivered product but maybe 95-99% complete.

For a while, they had an option for a custom color paint job but I don't see it anymore. Might be because they are revamping pricing.

Hope the bad weather from Nate doesn't interfere with the transportation and setup at the boat show.

Is Great Harbor connected with the TT35?

D Dock is the furthest-most out...

As I understand it, neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet....

OTOH, we think thunderstorms might draw the line for a while. I hope so, 'cause scattered thunderstorms are what's predicted for this afternoon's break-down start...

I don't know what their problem has been but they've moved the dates out so many times and still missed them all. Being 95-99% complete with all the time they've had is ridiculous. I find showing up at the show with an unfinished boat, if that's what they do, very disappointing. Hopefully, they'll get it 100%.

As to color, the boat they have on their main TT35 web page, the drawing that is, they have a painted hull. Sure looks a lot better on that boat than the white they've shown in the photos, but then color is subjective so obviously someone doesn't share that opinion. The white looks unfinished. I'm just amazed that in all this time they still haven't delivered a single boat, at least to my knowledge. Amazing how we got introduced to Hull #1 early in the process. (Of course now there is no discussion of that boat). Initial sea trial was February 1. It has seemed that they've still been designing along the way.

I've been led to believe that normally they run their business well and meet committed delivery dates but for some reason this model hasn't gone like that. Even the photos of the four hulls make it seem like #3 and #4 have caught up almost with #1 and #2. This has been more like the timing I'd expect on a 100', not a 35' Outboard.

The TT35 being displayed at the Annapolis Boat Show is Hull #2, christened Spirit Song. It was purchased earlier this year by the gentleman who started the blog below in February:

https://oldmanriverandlincoln.blogspot.com/2017/02/

He had intended on starting the Great Loop this year, but the sliding completion date for his boat has pushed this adventure into 2018. According to his last blog entry, Mirage is supposed to deliver Spirit Song to him in Jacksonville, FL after the boat show.

Hull #1 was commissioned, with a fly bridge option, by Miz Trom and her husband Dan twelve months before. She started the thread on Trawler Forum titled:

New Trawler Build Introduction and First Question

Her first post was on February 24, 2016 and she followed with production updates until March 16th of this year. Her last post on the thread was on July 17th. Hull #1 is still awaiting completion.

I think Mirage should really take advantage of the boat doing the loop, much the same as Beneteau did. That could be a use for the boat that might entice many.

For anyone here who purchased a Great Harbour new, did they deliver as projected or promised? I'm asking if the issue is just a single model issue and not a company issue, which I do believe to be the case.

TT35 is Great Harbour. It will not be Hull #1.

Ah.

Well, given it'll apparently be out on D Dock -- about the last area to load in -- I probably won't get much of a chance to pay any attention until the show starts anyway, since it's fairly hectic to un-build the existing show and then rebuild much of the dock set-up for the next show...

Thanks. It has to be scary for a builder when they do the sea trial.

Can’t wait to see the completed pics of the inside.

Edit: Can’t wait to set the pics of the completed inside.

They did one of Hull #1 on Feb 1.

GH has a 35x12 space in the build drawings, on the outside of D Dock. I worked with the Ego Alley crew yesterday, so didn't get a chance to go to the outside docks, but I heard from another crew that the outside of D would load today.

GH posted a pic on face book of the TT35 on the end of the D dock. It appears to be next to a Helmsmen 38E. Wish I was attending the show.

Where is the dinghy stored when underway I wonder? PH roof looks too full with big solar, AC, radar.
