Has anyone any ideas on a reliable brand of float switch, we have a wet bilge and find that the current switchs fall apart after about 18 months - two years. At about $70 a time seems a waste of money. We run a 24 volt system.
Thanks in advance,

Practical sailor had a great test of these.

Ultra Pumpswitch's get my vote. Been using nothing but for years. Had one go TU on a boat I serviced. Done in by a lighting strike. They come in 2 styles Senior and Junior. The Senior has an extra feature. It will set off an alarm if the water continues to rise. They have an LED light on top so you can look in the bilge and see that they are powered up. They come with a bracket to clamp them to the pump or mount to a bulkhead. They can be disassemled to clean the float. The wires will not rot off.
They have a serial # with date of manufacture on each one. They come with a 5 year warrenty. One on our boat is over 10 years old.
Ultra Safty Systems 800 433-BOAT.
They come in 12 volt or 24/32 volt.

to the auto sensing bilge pump. No switch!!!!!!!!! All is well now and easier to check.
