Anyone have experience with a yard that has replaced teak decks with fiberglass and non-skid? Looking in the Chesapeake Bay area 1st, then into NC. Mine are sound now but if I keep the boat 5 years they might need to be removed. I don't want to wait too long so I can replace the tanks (no rust now) at the same time.:banghead:

Is the teak deck over a cored deck?

'91 Grand Banks, so yes it is cored not solid glass. But the seams are in good shape and the bungs are maintained. There are no leaks soI don't think there is any moisture in the core.

There is this guy I know in Chance, MD who did a little work on my boat....

I remember, he hired a team of termites. You're just across the bay from us (Behind Lewisetta on VA side of the Potomac). Remember you did a lot of the work yourself with a "little" help from a friend. Sent you a PM.
