While I'm here I have another question!

I'd like to expand my house battery bank by another two 6v golf car batteries. It's my understanding that ideally you start with all the batteries in your bank new as adding new batteries to a bank with old batteries is not ideal. How not ideal is it? I recently lost almost all of my income source and I'm struggling to get by. I bought two new batteries in November then two more in February, I'd like to add two more asap to bring it up to six. Are there better options or?

Thanks again all,

Add the 2 batteries to your existing bank. The new batteries will take on the characteristics of the oldest batteries in the bank which are only 6 months old. You should be fine.

+1 Go for it.

Well said, Larry!

Hopefully your charging system(s) can keep up with the loads.
