Clear Lake and Beyond??? Help

Howdy all you Clear Lake locals......or frequent visitors! I need some help finding some places to go anchor about a day or a little less cruising from Clear Lake Texas (besides Red Fish Shoals, lol) Wifey and I would just like to take a 20-30 mile putt and then preferably find a good anchorage, or if necessary a decent marina. Any ideas will be appreciated!

Offatts Bayou and Moody Gardens Marina, about 30 nm. Also Harbor House Marina, about the same distance. Check Active Captain for details.

I dont recall how far Clear Lake is from Galveston/Bolivar but there is a lot of options there. When I was on Bolivar Steves Landing was popular . If you ate there you could stay the night. Further east was another restaurant/dock (CRS!) that is still popular. Rollover is fun. Lots of places to drop the hook, just be aware of the current on in and out tides.
