25' Albin Deluxe M/S 4sale interesting

Saw this little package on Seattle's c/list. Looked like a fair price if as described. Sail rig looks interesting, wonder how well it actually sails. Is hull design same on all the 25's, as one's that have sail rig and those that don't. I was going to call but then I already have 2 boats so I thought I just better pass info on....

The underbody is the same whether it is a motorsailer or not. We used the sail rig on ours strictly as a steadying sail, although the previous owner enjoyed sailing it if the winds were right.

 

[Nomad Willy]

Willard has an extended keel for their sailboat and the Albin has none. The Willard is actually a sailboat but the Albin sails to about a 30% level.

But the Albin 25 is one of the best small boats in the world. I had one for 6 years could easily have one again.
