I`m about to refinish the name boards either side of the FB.
The boat name is painted in bright yellow gloss oil paint, in recessed letters carved into the boards. I have used Cetol gloss over the whole board, letters included. Looks good freshly done.
Can I replace the Cetol with 2 pack clear varnish, including putting it over the single pack yellow letters, or will that end badly?
I`ve friends who use actual gold leaf for the letters instead of paint on their GB52, I`m not going that way.
