We have seawater plumbed into forward head thru-hull with a dedicated pump, and for some reason those made for washdown really perform better than other water pumps. We used to clean scuba gear by running the shower head out the shower window, as we don't have a rear shower until I came up with a better idea.
I screwed a hose adapter into the galley sink faucet and run a hose with a sprayer out the door. You can easily adjust the water temp and use the sprayer for gear cleaning, wash down, shower or cleaning saltwater off the deck. Cost us about $2.
