Demopolis Lock is closed till Sep 10th

I have verified this with the lock master... they had reopened a week or so ago but have discovered more problems.

Based on radio traffic from the lock (ch 14) the lock has been operating since about 2100 9/11/14.

I just spoke to the attendant... they are open now, he's locked through 11 barges and has about that many waiting to go northbound. While at the Coffeeville Lock last week I heard radio traffic indicating they may have a severe problem requiring a much longer outage.
Please keep me posted if you hear anything else, I'm eager to resume my northbound trip.
