Anyone have experience with Transpac Eagle 40. What are it's competitors or what is a better option? Also, does anyone know about a one for sale at Shilshole in Seattle?

Susan-can't really answer some of your questions as the answers are in large part personal preference. On Eagle Trawlers, I think they have a pretty good reputation and are a pretty good build. I think there are a few Eagle owners here who can give ore specific answers. On the 40' in Shilshole, if I am not mistaken, it is a new boat. Since those are not normally built on spec, it may be one that a buyer backed out on. I walk past that boat several times a week, but have not been on board. It is a good looking boat. I do know that Seattle Yachts has had it for sale quite a long time-close to a year. It may be ripe to be sold at a good price.

I looked at one in Fl. a few years ago and liked it, I wound up buying the Monk because the flybridge was larger and had, in my opinion a better seating arrangement We drive almost exclusively from the FB.. This may not be so important in the PNW. We also preferred the aft (sleeping) cabin to the fwd cabin on the Eagle.
Good luck,

I'm just a couple of floats down from the one in Wrangell. On the exterior it looks to be in good shape. Met the owner once but don't think they live in Wrangell.
