We dinghied to Aqua Verde on Portage Bay this week (90 degrees in Seattle on July 1st) - they have 2 20' slips for the Cafe at the Paddle Club if you have a small boat. Easy enough to find space during happy hour, but less availability at dinner time.

On the way we passed Jensen Motor Boat, which has survived Anchor's death, the economic downturn, and the UW's efforts over the years to push them out:

Then we let our 2.5 yo grandson take us into Lake Union!

Your grandson is doing a better job than many adults I've seen. That's why I have a firehose handy.

Puffin makes my heart go pitter patter. Yum!

Check out the GB with the extra mast and the dorades! Neat!

Yes it is! Seattle, with cold water that doesn't freeze, can be kinder on wooden boats than other places in the US - and Jensen cares for a lot of them.
