Snailbote maneuvering

OK, I know it's a trawler forum, but this is interesting.

For you sailors that want to travel the ICW with a mast higher than 65
feet.

* This boat came in last night at Vero Beach.
* It has an 80' mast and 7'10" draft.
* Each water bag weighs 2000#
* It's been coming down the ICW.
* What a treat to watch the crew execute this maneuver.

That is very interesting, just curious why they are in the ICW?
They should have just hit the bridge and got rid of that mast!! http://www.sparkimg.com/emoticons/smile.gif

I believe they're plowing, or at least will be with an almost 8' draft!!
