I have an Airmarine wind generator I want to get wired in. The model is a 12 volt and my boat engine alternator and starter are 24 volt. I am set up with 2 banks of deep cycle batterys, each bank is made up of two 12 volt batts hooked in series of course. All my boat electronics and lights are 12 volts. I have what I think is called a double pole double throw switch that allows be to draw off of one 12 volt batt or switch to a different 12 volt batt for my 12 volt electrics. If I buy a 12v to 24v converter for my wind generator is this going to properly charge my wet cell batts? My guess is NOT. So what would you advise to clean up my can of worms. I'm here in rural Philippines so parts are limited. How adjustable are the outputs on a converter? Oh I forgot I have a 24 volt batt combiner between my two batt banks. And I also have 24 volt solar panels thru a 10 amp controller.
I hope all this makes sense and any help is greatly appreciated.
Blowing a gale today and strong possibility of a typhoon developing in the next 24 hours.
