Saw a sailboat south of the Quad Cities when I was helping to bring a boat back from Mn. saw it again today at lock #24. When we were back at the marina a 76' Derecktor yacht came in, this boat stops twice a year once in the fall going south & again in late spring going back to Mn.
We've had a half dozen boats each night in our town anchorage. We'll be doing that lock in December and it'll be our first lock ever as we don't have many of them in the northeast.
Another came in today couple on a Great Harbor I believe 42. The best engine room I've ever seen as far as having room to perform fluid checks & maintenance, twin 54 HP Yanmars. A really beautiful boat that looks very (work wise) a term that on the job meant someone who knew what they were doing & how to get it done In a efficient manner. The 1st thing I noticed was the wide beam 16', looked very wide for the length. They're on their way from Minneapolis to St. Petersburg.
KaJen is headed south to Legacy Marina in Ft. Myers Florida. Right now I'm on a side trip to Chattanooga. This is a shot of KaJen (second boat) in the very large Wilson lock on the Tennessee River.
