Thank you to all who have expressed an interest in our boat ...I guess we just love her too much to star learning the pluses and minuses of a new boat, and we thank Moon River for information on her. We hope she sells for you soon. Since my posting was so long, I have split it into 3 segments. More to come

This is an AC/DC 5 cubic foot fridge freezer that has a small footprint and is 42 inches high. It will fit nicely beneath the the sliding forward starboard window and not infringe on the hatch cover nearby.
We ordered this through Home Depot, had it shipped to the store, and avoided any shipping charges. This unit can be view on HD's website and the manufacturer's site. The cost for the unit is less through HD the the manufacturer charges....

At the same time, removing the fridge allows us to reconfigure the galley and provide more seating space on the starboard aft area. As any Prairie 29 owner knows, these boats were built with out any built in furniture. Currently we have sent out spec's to two different manufacturers for built in bases on both port and starboard sides to be used as settees with deep, fully extended drawers beneath them. We plan to take photos of our progress and post them as we progress.

After much discussion, dreams etc, we have decided not to sell Stray Cat. Our home is on the market and they are not selling very well just now. We still want to cruise, but with some modifications to make our home on the water more comfortable.
My biggest complaint was reaching down into the top opening fridge, moving or rearranging my storage baskets to find one item that always seems to be located on the bottom.
After much research, we have purchased new stand alone fridge from "Grape Solar" to be installed on the starboard side of the boat near the helm. Our boat does not have a sliding door located there and that gives us plenty of room to relocate the fridge. We chose this make and model because of the specs. Grape Solar manufactures solar panels as well as other items that can be powered by solar panels. Our fridge is one of them.
SOLD This unit has been sold to a new sailor on a sailboat!
