My props are the standard 3 blade (24"), with a 16" pitch
Have you tried running the engine up to max rpm with the boat in neutral. If it still doesn't run out to 2400rpm, then the issue is not the props. It could be the cables from the Morse controls.
There are a few threads dealing with engines not running out to their max rpm's. Try doing a search in archives.
IMHO though, you don't want to run the Lehman's at more than 1800 rpm anyway, they really don't like operating outside their comfort zone, besides the boat won't go any faster, it just eats up a LOT more diesel.
I have not seen to many single 36's, must be great to have room in the engine bay.You should some photo's in the Halvorsen thread.
Hello, I just bought a 36 Island Gypsy with a single Lehman (120hp) and I cannot get the engine to turn up to the recommended 2400 max load RPM. I have tried two different size props and I was wondering what you had. I saw in one of the threads that you have a 36 IG as well? Thanks, Rich.
