Ken, Sorry for your issues, allowed me to add that I find myself in a similar situation. Have not left the dock all summer to date. Although the wife has agreed to make an effort to take a day trip tomorrow. Stay with me on your progress.

Guessing this will bounce back to you Ken. Are you planning on in water or on the hard?
There are really a number of out of state boats in the Heritage Harbor. Too, the harbor out the road is due to have all new floats and associated hardware starting construction fairly soon, by next year for sure. Will really add to the attractiveness of Wrangell to folks such as yourself.
Dave is a member of the TF. Perhaps under the Diesel Duck catagory, however I have the following information:

    Email: Phone# 9707)732-6769 web site:

Tom Brady (Silver Bay) is an active in water over the winter months for the past several years and a TF member. He is one who I would contact as well. His number (907)250-5608

    Good fortune- keep me posted.

Hello Al.....Got back to Bellingham in good shape, although the nights are really getting longer and cooler. Odd to be sleeping in a bed after 4 months in a bunk!

I think I mentioned that I'm keen on leaving the boat in Wrangell over the winter in the future. I don't know when we will start doing this.....speaking to the 1st mate on that subject. Anyway, Dave Nagle of the Diesel Duck David Ellis has been on the hard in Wrangell a lot and really knows the ins and outs there, although I'm sure you do too. Is Dave a member of TF? Do you know his TF handle?
