Sorry I didn't see your message until now, and my reply may be overcome by events. The answer is no to the N40. I was dealing with Marvin Gehl, Port Gardner Yacht Sales in Everett. The boat was a Camargue 48 CPMY. It's still there and still unsold. FYI, I'm returning to Seattle next month to select among a few that my broker has lined up. Secured a 40' slip at Elliot Bay Marina and I'll be keeping one car and my motorcycle there, so a road trip is in my future. Sounds like we have some similar interests, I'm not a UW grad but did my administrative residency at Madigan with a rotation at Group Health in Seattle and fell in love with the coastal PNW. Alaska Air has a daily nonstop from San Antonio to SEATAC and starting July it will be twice daily, so it's just as convenient to have a boat there as on the Gulf Coast but no comparison between heaven and oil rigs. I hope you've found your boat and are enjoying it! Regards, Gary Kinslow

BTW I love Nordhavn but my pocketbook doesn't!

We live in Dallas and have been looking for a Nordhavn to live aboard and cruise the PNW and West Coast. Lived there, UW Grad, owned boats there and cruised into Canada. This N40 has been for sale for a while and is what we are interested in along with the N46. Is this N40 the bad boat broker experience you are referencing? Have you been aboard - and if so, what are your concerns? Thanks, Mark & Jane zfrieb@gmail.com 707-320-3848
