Agree, it could be possible on a non self tailer, although the likelihood of getting a wrap (a tangle) is high and the thought of tailing a 100' or so of webbing is more than I would want to take on!

Updating my reply and apparently they are two different but very similar fast growing (ie sustainable) hardwood species (Parota and MonkeyWood). We got a slab and made a bar top out of it.

Looks lovely and I believe it may be the same wood that our local carpenters call monkey wood. I'll attach a photo of the mill where we bought slabs for our home bar.
