My Raymarine S100 remote for my Autopilot has a screen and could very easily display current feet/meters. In fact, as I ponder it, a complete system that has Autopilot/Windlass/BowThruster all on a lanyard that follows me around the boat.

As I solo, I would like the option to control the windlass remotely while tracking the feet (Display on the remote showing the feet). (example when I'm in the forward berth dealing with the chain pile) Recommendations?

Starter has no known issues but as part of a preventative maintenance move would having it rebuilt be warranted? 40 year old 6354M with 5000hrs. I carry a spare alternator but a spare starter cost is very high and thought a rebuild would be more cost effective. Thoughts?
