    raymarine gyroplus 2 - nema 0183?

my goal is to eliminate the dsm250 if possible, not fix it. the question i asked was if the nema in port on the gyroplus is functional/can be used. basically i was asking if anyone was using that port. based on responses i'm assuming the answer is no.

    Bow Thruster & Battery Question

if you do replace batteries, "start" bank (starting, thruster) should be batteries with high cranking amps. "house" bank should batteries with high rating on total amp/hr capacity.

    raymarine gyroplus 2 - nema 0183?

it does sound simple but how do i know that i'm not paying $50 for what i have....MAYBE a flaky dsm250? now if you could tell me how to test the 250 outside of transducer, rl70c, connections, i'm listening

    raymarine gyroplus 2 - nema 0183?

the gyroplus has 12v....this is why i'd like it to work. running a cable to mfd directly would be way harder.

    raymarine gyroplus 2 - nema 0183?

my thought is if i can use the gyroplus nema port it gets depth info onto the seatalk network and my mfd. i have no use for sonar which i believe is the only reason i have a dsm250. i do not have an autopilot.

    raymarine gyroplus 2 - nema 0183?

hi, we have a 2003 ms pilot 34. all electronics are original, raymarine and to the best of my knowledge seatalk. it is equipped with a dsm250 sounder for sonar. i'm having problems with the dsm250 and would like to totally remove it. unfortunately it has a transducer specific to the dsm250. i...

    raymarine gps antennae replacement

fup on this. i'm pretty sure i was wrong with the gps antennae. i've narrowed the problem down to our dms250. the connection to the transducer sometimes has problems, which i'm working on. it also has a connection to my rl70c, via hsb. when the dms has trouble it, apparently, signals the rl70c...

    Mainship 350 A/C Pump

You might have an air block on the a/c pump. take the salt water return hose off the a/c unit. then run the a/c after about a minute you may get flow. if not it's time to start diagnosing.

    raymarine gps antennae replacement

a standalone with built in gps is on my list but i want to keep the old mfd for radar. i think i've landed on mounting the new mushroom antennae inside cabin in front of steering wheel. there is a seatalk junction box mounted under the hinged platform. thanks again

    Swim Ladder

r u thru bolting? if so, proper way would be to rout out wood inside platform maybe 1/8" bigger than bolt. tape bottom hole and fill with epoxy and then re-drill to proper size. this seals swim platform core.

Hose run for Engine to hot water heater 34' pilot

we don't have the engine supplying the water heater on our p34, but we do on our other boat. on the other boat, the water heater is roughly in the same location and we get lots of engine hot water even if we're just moving along at 7 knts. if you're not getting supply to the heater, i'd look at...

Hose run for Engine to hot water heater 34' pilot

we've had engine heated hot water for 18 seasons. you'll get 180 degree hot water very quickly if your engine temps get near 180.

    Wiring Run

hi, we have a 34 not a 30 so i can't give any real advice. that said, barring any 30 owners jumping in, i would start by taking the radio out and seeing where the wires go. on the 34 there is a cavity between the wall in the cockpit and the wall in the cabin. this is where all wires come from.

    Dripless Shaft Dripping

we've had both tides and pss. once tides starts leaking replace them. the leaking will get worse. if they're leaking at the dock they are on life support. we've had them on 2 different boats. on our pilot 34 the originals were in place for 16 years, never leaked a drop. on our pdq we went thru 3...

    Farymann genset oil pressure problem

hi, i think your main problem is lack of regular circulation. you need to make arrangements to let engine run and get up to temp to allow it to flush itself periodically. as to winterize i would 1) remove thermostat 2) remove rw pump hose to block and stick into a bucket of rv antifreeze. run...

    Farymann genset oil pressure problem

couple of questions: 1) was the blockage rust or salt or a combination? 2) do you have access to fw at a dock? you may have to start thinking about regular flushing with fresh water and salt-away once in a while. is o-ring rubber or copper? either way my guess is they would compress.
