suggest you keep using zinc anodes for your engine and gear, if you are moored and use your boat in saltwater

If its a sterndrive ( outdrive ) it is an AQAD 30.
The data plate is riveted to the block horizontally below the injection pump, brass plate is about 1/2 inch by 2 inch long.
Teflon tape is so slippery it allows you to over torque the fitting, in the past I have cracked several female fittings with the torque I would use normally on a npt fitting coated with thread sealant. Expensive lessons!
Most folks have the turbo rebuilt if it hasnt had a catastrophic failure, usually a more economical solution.
Another avenue to explore would be a rebuilt from Volvo.
Some oil leakage is normal in these turbos especially if the engine spends a lot of time at low rpm, there are no oil seals on...
Have you considered a cast stainless steel mixing elbow from HDI Marine?
My experience with light gauge stainless elbows has not been good, very expensive and unacceptable lifespan due to fatigue / stress cracking.
